about
The early nineties were the most productive years for David Morales and Frankie Knuckles remixes.
Coming between smash hit remixes of Alison Limerick and The Brand New Heavies, this 1991 track by the short-lived Pride 'n' Politix seems to have been unjustly forgotten.
Only one promo CD included all the mixes, and the track is not available digitally or to stream, which almost certainly means that is no longer part of a major's catalogue.
I've combined and rejigged a couple of Morales mixes to highlight the amazing live percussion and let the song breathe, resulting in an 11-minute journey that's pure Def Mix bliss.
Enjoy.
